Bolaños.
Roberto Bolaños was born in April 28 of
1953 and died in July 15 of 2003.
He was a Chilean poet, novelist and
essayist. He wrote more of two tens books. The most famous are “los detectives salvajes”, “estrella distante” and “2666”.
After his death, Bolaños became a one of most
influential writers of Spanish languish. Because three of his books feature into the
fifteen first places of the list of 2007, ready-made for
eighty one Latin Americans writers and literature critics, with the hundred best books of Spanish languish of the last years.His work has been translated into numerous languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Dutch.

novels, stories and essays published mostly in Barcelona, Spain. Several of
these works have been published posthumously.
Since the beginning of the 21st century,
many specialists and literary critics have analyzed the works of Bolaños. One
of his most dominant features is the constant connection between life and
literature. In his books reflections on
the values of reading or the virtue of the act of writing, an activity that
tends to be related to death and violence. His multiple characters has their
own individuality, are mostly writers both unsuccessful and successful for
which literary activity is everything, not only in an aesthetic sense but also
in an ethical sense. Many writers and specialists agree with which his work is
strongly linked to a melancholic aesthetic.
